Ambrosio’s Take
Bio-One provides specialized cleanup of biohazards, including death-related scenes, hoarding, and drug-related cleanup, along with mold and odor remediation, work driven by events rather than ordinary consumer demand. Against a $134,645 to $221,095 investment range, the 113 franchisees who reported 12 months of revenue averaged $372,962 in 2025 (down 4.1% from 2024), producing a 2.1:1 sales-to-investment ratio. Results vary widely: the top quartile averaged $802,263 versus just $80,429 for the bottom quartile, a 10.0x gap. Death-related jobs generated nearly half of total revenue (49.7%), followed by hoarding (23.4%). Among the franchisees that submitted P&L reports, average EBITDA was 16.1% of revenue after the 7.5% royalty (down from 18.7% in 2024), which works out to an estimated $60,084 per franchisee and a payback period of 2.2 to 3.7 years. Franchised outlets fell from 152 to 144 in 2025.
