Learn Which Franchises Can Make You Rich

Ambrosio’s Take

Pokeworks is a fast-casual franchise built around customizable poké bowls, a specialty category with no direct poké peers among the comparables in this post. Against a $270,435 to $599,661 investment range, the 52 franchised restaurants open all year averaged $1,082,563 in gross sales in 2025 (up 10.6% from 2024), producing a 2.5:1 sales-to-investment ratio that clears the 2:1 benchmark many restaurant analysts favor. Location quality drives results: the top 20% of franchised restaurants averaged $1,743,199 versus $630,723 for the bottom 20%, and the 6 company-owned restaurants averaged 28.6% more than the franchised system. Pokeworks does not disclose operating expenses or profit, so sales are the main performance data available, and build-out costs ($80,000 to $323,000) account for most of the spread in the investment range.

Ambrosio’s Take is a new feature on all Franchise Chatter FDD Talk posts based on the 2026 FDD.

  • The performance information does not present franchise fees, selling, general and administrative expenses, occupancy costs such as utilities and rent, taxes, insurance, and other expenses. Net profit is not presented.

  • Pokeworks does not provide information regarding costs like store level operating expenses, Royalty Fees, and Marketing Fund Contributions. The Financial Performance Representations (Earnings Claims) figures in this Item 19 do not reflect operating expenses or other costs or expenses that must be deducted from the gross revenue or gross sales figures to obtain your net income or profit.
  • Some outlets have sold the amounts stated. Your individual results may differ. There is no assurance you will sell as much.
  • Company-owned Pokeworks Restaurants are substantially similar to the franchised outlets offered in the Disclosure Document. However, due to factors such as quantity discounts for Pokeworks Products and services, franchisor approval costs, reduced training and labor costs, and insurance discounts, your costs of operation may be higher than the costs incurred by Pokeworks’ Affiliates which operate the company-owned Pokeworks Restaurants.
