Ambrosio’s Take
Wireless Zone has grown rapidly, adding 345 franchised outlets over three years to reach 792, and the brand’s focus on Verizon wireless products gives it a built-in customer base that most retail franchises can only envy. The number that requires the most careful attention is the gross profit margin: at 31% of gross revenue, the business retains roughly 31 cents of every dollar before payroll, rent, royalties, and other operating expenses, which means the sales-to-investment ratio of 2.1:1 is significantly less meaningful here than it would be for a higher-margin concept. Average gross profit of $579,328 per store is the more instructive starting point for evaluating whether the economics work in your specific market.

- The charts below show certain financial information and activations and upgrades for Wireless Zone’s franchised Stores during 2025. All of the information in the charts below is provided based on quintiles. These quintiles are based on Gross Profit. The first quintile in each chart reflects the 20% of those Stores that had the highest Gross Profit, while the bottom quintile represents the 20% that had the lowest Gross Profit.
- Activation and Upgrade information as well as related termination information is provided to Wireless Zone by its Provider, and Wireless Zone has used that information in calculating Average Net Activations and Upgrades.
