Section V – Financial Performance Representations (Average Revenues and/or Profits) for the Aussie Pet Mobile Franchise (Item 19, 2022 FDD)

  • The following is historical financial information concerning the reported annual sales of a subset of Aussie Pet Mobile’s existing outlets, namely those franchisees who were open for business for all of calendar year 2021 (3 single Customized Vehicle franchisees and 62 franchisees with two or more Customized Vehicles) representing an aggregate total of 341 Customized Vehicles.

Part 1 – Annual Sales Levels

  • The following table shows annual gross sales reported by franchisees with a single Customized Vehicle and with two or more Customized Vehicles, that were in business throughout calendar year 2021. These franchisees represent 99.7% of the franchisees who were open for all of calendar year 2021.
  • Figures for franchisees that had two or more Customized Vehicles are total sales for all Customized Vehicles – not average per Customized Vehicle – and if a franchisee’s Customized Vehicle was added during 2021, the total sales do not represent a full year of sales for the additional Customized Vehicle.
  • All gross sales figures are presented without regard to the size of the territory. Although Aussie Pet Mobile currently grants territories that are at least 100,000 households, not all territories are that size. These variations in size arise both because Aussie Pet Mobile formerly sold territories of differing sizes and because territories can experience either growth or contraction after a franchise is sold.
  • During 2021, there were 3 franchisees who operated a single Customized Vehicle throughout the year and 62 franchisees who operated two or more Customized Vehicles throughout the year. The average number of Customized Vehicles owned by these franchisees was 5.
  • These sales results are based upon sales reported to Aussie Pet Mobile by the franchisees. Aussie Pet Mobile has not audited or verified these sales results, and Aussie Pet Mobile generally depends upon the franchisees to report their sales accurately. Aussie Pet Mobile does not have information concerning how its franchisees maintain their records, or whether those records are kept in accordance with generally-accepted accounting principles.

One Customized Vehicle

  • Average Sales:  $122,806
  • Median Sales:  $134,990
  • 75th Percentile:  $142,453
  • Average Sales of Middle 50%:  $134,990
  • 25th Percentile:  $109,250

The lowest amount reported for a single Customized Vehicle franchisee was $83,510 and the highest was $149,917. The lowest amount reported for franchisees with two or more Customized Vehicles was $73,725 and the highest was $2,399,583.
  • Two or 67% of franchisees with a single Customized Vehicle and 31 or 50% of franchisees with two or more Customized Vehicles had greater sales than the median figure.
  • The data below are as reported by Aussie Pet Mobile’s franchisees who responded to a survey that Aussie Pet Mobile conducted in February 2022 asking about their experiences during 2021. The survey was sent to all Aussie Pet Mobile franchisees, and franchisees representing 98.5% of the System returned fully completed surveys. The questions asked as part of the survey and the results are described below.

Part 2 – Cost of Sales

  • As part of the survey, Aussie Pet Mobile asked its franchisees to report their current average cost per sale. The cost per sale is calculated as the amount spent on advertising divided by the number of people who called, texted, or emailed with interest and agreed to sign up for an appointment or service.
  • The average reported marketing cost per sale was $22.63 and the average reported monthly advertising spend was $931. The median reported marketing cost per sale was $12.08. The lowest amount reported for marketing cost per sale was $3.07, the highest was $225.00.
  • Of Aussie Pet Mobile’s franchisees reporting, 15 or 27% exceeded the mean and 28 or 50% exceeded the median.

  • 5-6 years in business:  12% of franchisees

Part 7 – Duration of Repeat Customers

  • As part of the survey, Aussie Pet Mobile asked its franchisees how many months they expected their average repeat customer to remain a customer. The average of all responses was 43 months.

Part 8 – Service Days Per Week

  • Aussie Pet Mobile asked its franchisees how many days a week they provided service to customers. The average of all responses was 6.4.

Part 9 – Grooming Interval
