Section IV – News Updates on the Made in the Shade Blinds & More Franchise
Section V – Financial Performance Representations (Average Revenues and/or Profits) for the Made in the Shade Blinds & More Franchise (Item 19, 2022 FDD)
- The following are forecasts of what a Made in the Shade Blinds & More franchisee can potentially earn for gross revenues in any given year under three different scenarios: Scenario A (3 sales per week), Scenario B (5 sales per week), and Scenario C (7 sales per week).
Scenario A
- Number of Sales Per Week: 3
- Average Sale: $2,635
- Annual Gross Revenue: $395,250
Scenario B
- Number of Sales Per Week: 5
- Average Sale: $2,635
- Annual Gross Revenue: $658,750
Scenario C
- Number of Sales Per Week: 7
- Average Sale: $2,635
- Annual Gross Revenue: $922,250
- Annual Gross Revenue refers to Gross Revenue earned in a one-year period.
- Gross Revenue means the total revenue derived from the sale of goods or services less sales tax, discounts, allowances, and returns.
- Average Sale means the sum of all data points in a set divided by the number of data points in that set. In this case, the data point would be the dollar amount of window treatments sold in a sale.
- The tables above present pro forma examples of annual gross revenue under three different scenarios. Made in the Shade Blinds & More does not claim that you will perform at any specific level. You should formulate your own estimate with your own business advisors.
- Made in the Shade Blinds & More based these formulations on a survey conducted in April 2022 from its franchisees.
- The average sales figure of $2,635 per sale is based upon Made in the Shade Blinds & More franchisees’ reported sales figures.
- The Annual Gross Revenue was formulated using 50 weeks per year, thereby assuming 2 weeks off for vacation, holiday, weather, etc.
- The survey was conducted as follows: All franchisees who had been in business for at least two years as of December 31, 2021, and were still actively engaged with the business, were invited to participate in the survey.
- Using this criterion, 78 franchisees were eligible to participate in the survey and 70 elected to respond producing a participation rate of 90.0%.
- The franchisees were asked to report the average value of a retail sale to their customers in 2021. The responses showed an average transaction value of $2,725 and a median transaction value of $2,635. The median value which was the lower of the average and median values, was used to calculate the three scenarios.
- The conditions that would allow you to sell products at a given level will vary based upon a number of factors such as: the economic or market conditions which you face in your area, the demographics of your market area, the success of your marketing efforts, and how well you follow the Made in the Shade Blinds & More franchise system, among other factors.
- The earnings claims figures do not reflect the costs of sales, operating expenses, or other costs or expenses that must be deducted from the gross revenue or gross sales figures to obtain your net income or profit.
- These figures are only estimates of what Made in the Shade Blinds & More thinks you may earn. Your individual results may differ. There is no assurance you will earn as much.
