Highlights of Huddle House’s Item 19 Financial Performance Representations (2014 FDD) – Part 1 of 5

  • The tables in Parts 1, 2, and 3 summarize the operational results of certain franchised Huddle House Restaurants during fiscal year 2014 (from April 28, 2013 to May 3, 2014).
  • Based on the financial information reported to Huddle House, the three tables represent the higher performing franchised Huddle House Restaurants, based on EBITDAR as a percent of sales.
  • In total, 201 franchised Huddle House Restaurants reported certain operational results to Huddle House for fiscal 2014.
  • The first table is the top 20%, the second table is the top 40%, and the third table is the top 60%.
  • Included in the top 20% are 40 Restaurants, the top 40% includes 80 Restaurants, and the top 60% includes 121 Restaurants.
  • These 121 Huddle House Restaurants represent 60.2% of the 201 franchised Huddle House Restaurants that reported data, and 32.1% of the total 377 franchised Huddle House Restaurants that were in operation at the end of the 2014 fiscal year.
  • Of these 121 reporting Huddle House Restaurants included above, none were newly opened in the 2014 fiscal year.
  • The 121 franchised Huddle House Restaurants included in the tables, submitted to Huddle House reports for approximately 77.9% of the possible reporting periods.
  • Four Huddle House Restaurants which closed during fiscal 2014 did report data, and the data is included in these results.
  • Also, the results reported by 3 franchised Huddle House Restaurants were excluded because they either did not report COGS (Food Cost), Crew Labor, or Operating Expenses.
  • Additionally, 1 new franchised Huddle House Restaurant, which opened on April 28, 2014, was excluded due to it being open less than one week.
