Highlights of Doorstep Delivery’s Item 19 Financial Performance Representations (2013 FDD)

  • The franchise is for the operation of a home delivery services business that arranges with local restaurants (“Restaurant Partners”) to provide services to facilitate and coordinate the catering, delivery, and takeout orders for both residential and commercial customers of the Restaurant Partners.
  • One of the unique aspects of the System is the use of proprietary software in the franchisee’s business operation. Your role will be to contract with restaurants in your Protected Territory to provide delivery services.
  • You will promote those services to customers, and customers will place orders either by telephone or online, and all purchases will be processed through the software and credited directly to your bank account.
  • The franchisor has made available through a national contract a service that hires and provides delivery drivers. You will enter into a contract for the services of your independent drivers.
  • The total investment necessary to begin operation of a Doorstep Delivery franchised business is $64,300 to $170,300. This includes between $41,250 and $116,250 that must be paid to the franchisor or its affiliate.
  • DoorstepDeliveryListed below are Total Gross Revenues made in 2012 by five affiliate-owned units of the Doorstep Delivery system. The gross revenue figures are totaled, and the average of the 5 units calculated.
  • The 5 businesses that are represented in this statement were in operation for the entire year 2012.
  • The Gross Revenue figures reflect all sales processed through the central website, and include total food sales, delivery fees, tips, beverage sales, utensil purchases, and processing fees.
  • Three of the five business units, or 60%, exceeded the Gross Revenue average in 2012.
  • These figures are based on the 2012 calendar year gross revenues received by 5 affiliate-owned Doorstep Delivery businesses in operation from January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2012. These are the only businesses in the Doorstep Delivery system that were open and operating for the entire 2012 calendar year. These 5 businesses constitute 38% of the 13 businesses in the Doorstep Delivery system at the end of 2012.
