What is Boneheads Grilled Fish and Piri Piri Chicken?
Boneheads Grilled Fish and Piri Piri Chicken is an Atlanta-based fast-casual restaurant franchise known for its signature dishes such as fire-grilled fish seasoned with Boneheads’ spices and chicken dishes marinated with Piri Piri sauce. Its Piri Piri sauce, made with the South African Piri Piri pepper, is a three-time winner of the prestigious Scovie Award.
New Store Design
The new design boasts a clean, color palette dominated by bold blue hues. New interactive, digital menu boards will showcase Boneheads’ dishes via multimedia, including cooking demonstrations, and constantly refreshed with new content.
While an enhanced customer experience was the chief motivating factor for these changes, management also wanted to help franchisees and potential franchisees every step along the way to implement this design as efficiently as possible.
New Senior Management
A few weeks earlier, Boneheads introduced a new senior management team and board of directors.
Ron Barber, the new chairman of the board, brings his experience as a Boneheads franchisee and a proven track record as a successful businessman. Barber will spearhead efforts to bring on new talent, streamline operations, and secure strategic partners across franchise sales, marketing, and training.
James Walker joins the team as a member of the board of directors, bringing nearly 20 years of experience in the foodservice and franchise industries, including his current role as Chief Development Officer for Beef O’Brady’s and The Brass Tap. He will play an active role in the day-to-day operations and the development of the Boneheads growth strategy.
In an effort to increase communication between franchisees and the leadership team, Boneheads appointed John Woods as Director of Operations. Woods has over 30 years of operations and foodservice experience, most recently as Director of Operations for Krystal company. Prior to Krystal, he worked with foodservice franchises such as Zaxby’s, Mrs. Winners, and Arby’s. Woods will be responsible for creating a cohesive operations model for use at current and future Boneheads locations.
