Moe’s Southwest Grill, in Conjunction with HMSHost, Expanding into Airports Across the Country

in Fast Casual Restaurant Franchise, Franchise News

Moe’s Southwest Grill, the fast casual restaurant franchise specializing in fresh southwest fare, is expanding its presence into airports across the country through a new partnership with HMSHost.  The fast growing restaurant chain just opened a new location in the Memphis International Airport this month, their first in conjunction with HMSHost, and their fourth airport location overall.  Their other airport locations are in Las Vegas, Oklahoma City and Atlanta.

Moe’s, which has grown to more than 420 locations in just 10 years, is a perfect fit for the quick, on-the-go atmosphere of an airport.  As Paul Damico, President of Moe’s Southwest Grill, says, “Moe’s brings a unique culinary experience to the fast casual restaurant segment in airports, offering the traveling public unlimited customizable options with our food. To be able to get our level of ingredients with such speed of service is really what airports and travelers are looking for. We are excited about this opportunity to introduce the brand to the masses.”

At Moe’s, each meal is prepared right before your eyes and is served with free chips and salsa, including the Homewrecker burrito, the Billy Barounachos, and the Close Talker salad. By serving only fresh produce and natural ingredients such as grass-fed steak and organic tofu, Moe’s has found a way to cater to its fast-paced customers by offering unlimited customizable and portable menu options. The food will be made fast, but the taste and quality won’t be compromised.

Bill Casey, VP, Food & Beverage Concept Portfolio for HMSHost, says, “HMSHost is very pleased to add Moe’s to our portfolio of outstanding brands. This new Moe’s has been welcomed by both travelers and airport staff. I value the relationship we have with Moe’s Southwest Grill and we look forward to a strong partnership that compliments the efforts of both of our companies in making the traveler’s day better.”

We love Moe’s. Definitely a welcome addition to the usually bland options available in airports.

Have you ever done a review on Moe’s?

      Hi Mike,

Great to see you here again! I’ve done a FDD Talk on Moe’s where I comment on their Item 19 disclosures, and I’ve also done a Q&A interview with Paul Damico, their President. Hope you can check them out!

      Best regards,
